Hello Everyone,
Well we have been back to Grenada since the 13 th. We went to the states to take care of my mother. She was almost 94 years old and she feel and hit her head and that was about she could take. We buried her the 5th of Aug. and said good by to most of our relatives in the process.
While we were there we rented a car and about the 7th a 3/4 ton heavy duty ford truck decided to run into the back of us at 55 miles an hour to total that little plastic box. No one was injured because of the seat belts. My Sister In law had some photos of the wreck but she has lost them in her computer, if she finds them I'll post a few.
We had a hard time getting a flight out because of the schools starting up here in Grenada.
Tomorrow we look at this other boat that I'm interested in. We looked at it yesterday but could not get inside but that will happen. The boat for you who know sail boats it's a 40 ft. Hugh's Columbia. It was built in 1981 and with what I could tell from the outside it is in excellent condition. We'll have to take a few items off Drifter but not much if we decide to break our bank account and by it. OK I'll let you know what happens in the next posting, hopefully with some new photos.
See y'all down the road
Mike and Karen

  1. Glad you guys are back. Keep posting. Are you gonna sail to Cape Town? That's a trip and a half. Good luck on the new sailboat deal. Looking forward to new pics soon. When will Karen be back? Jacksc21@gmail.com (Tapper)

  2. Mike, didn't realize you had so many Asian friends, that will make Celine happy, even impressed! Hey, Bob and I are really down in the dumps because Karen wouldn't let you stop off in KW to see us before heading home. At least you could do is keep the blog up so we know what you are up to. Tell Karen to give you a day off from the bars and write the damn thing. Did you ever finish my second book? It will be out in Feb, so hurry so you can say you read it first!

  3. Ok, Mike, you fill my emails with passed-on jokes, some not very funny, by the way. When are you gonna up date the blog? Don't care about your taste in bad jokes, but do care what you two are up to! Don't make Bob and me come out there find you. We might not leave! Think about that!
